🤓 Will Scott Bessent Reignite A New Bull Run?
Plus, Strategy's new explanation for why it's selling Bitcoin.

Happy Tuesday!
Bitcoin could end up being the beneficiary of the U.S. intervention in the Japanese Yen, according to Arthur Hayes. Here’s how he thinks the two are interconnected.
Strategy has been selling some Bitcoin recently, but that is nothing compared to the amounts it bought and still will buy, according to its CEO.
Plus, learn how to use options-based income strategies to capture market upside and generate consistent monthly distributions. Join Jay Hatfield, CEO of Infrastructure Capital Advisors and CIO of QVOL ETF, and Benzinga on Thursday, September 10.
TOP STORY
Arthur Hayes is making a big liquidity bet: the U.S. may have to “print trillions” to help defend the Japanese yen — and Bitcoin is his favorite way to play it.
The Maelstrom founder argues Japan can’t simply hike rates or dump U.S. Treasuries without creating bigger problems, so the Fed may need to expand dollar-swap-style support that could unleash a COVID-era-scale liquidity wave.
Hayes is already heavily long BTC, building a larger Ethereum position and eyeing Ethena as a higher-risk catch-up trade if Bitcoin wakes up.

MARKET MINUTES
Bitcoin and ETH are going through an extensive period of low-volatility sideways trading. Why is crypto so boring at the moment?
Coinbase’s chief policy officer says the boring sideways price action is part of adoption. But technical analysts disagree — sideways isn’t bullish, they say.
Cardano hasn’t produced good news in a while. To add insult to injury, it’s flashing three warning signals now. Is a drop to 17 cents coming?
FINTECH FOCUS
Strategy is selling some Bitcoin, but CEO Phong Le says investors shouldn’t read that as a retreat from the trade.
The company unloaded more than 1,600 BTC for over $108 million while building its dollar reserves from about $800 million to $4.75 billion — a cash cushion meant to support its preferred-stock products and set the stage for future accumulation.
Le says Strategy has still bought about 25 times more Bitcoin than it has sold and expects to “get back to buying more Bitcoin” this year, keeping the company positioned as an “amplified Bitcoin” play.
