Happy Thursday, Zingernation! The Fed’s 50 basis points cut is the “sweet spot” for Bitcoin and crypto, an analyst has said. But what does that mean?

Today, we look at how Anthony Scaramucci wants to “distance” Kamala Harris from Gary Gensler, why companies are copying the MicroStrategy playbook and more.

MARKET SNAPSHOT

TOP STORY

Anthony Scaramucci talked about Trump, Harris and crypto regulation at a panel discussion at Token2049 in SIngapore.

Trump is “polarizing” but at least he’s pulling the Democrats to the middle on crypto.

But even more interesting was what Scaramucci had to say about Kamala Harris and how he’s working on pulling her away from Gary Gensler.

TOGETHER WITH AEVA TECHNOLOGIES

Aeva Technologies Inc. (NYSE: AEVA) counts Nvidia Corp. (NVDA), Daimler AG and Nikon Corp., as partners for good reason: the company’s advanced LiDAR sensors are enabling an autonomous world.

It all started in the fall of 2022 when Aeva’s LiDAR sensors were added to Nvidia’s NVIDIA DRIVE Sim platform. NVIDIA DRIVE Sim is an end-to-end platform designed to run large-scale, physically based, multi-sensor, autonomous vehicle simulation to improve developer productivity and accelerate time to market.

Since then it has inked a $1 billion deal with Daimler to provide its LiDAR sensors to its self-driving project and a deal with Nikon to scan objects coming off an assembly line for defects. Then there’s a deal with Germany’s Digitale Schiene Deutschland initiative. Aeva’s 4D LiDAR technology is being used in the group’s AutomatedTrain project, eventually bringing self-driving trains to railways. And let’s not forget its deal with an unnamed defense contractor to protect sensitive infrastructure. To learn more about what Aeva Technologies has been up to lately click here.

QUICK N DIRTY

The Federal Reserve has cut interest rates, as expected. And now? What does that mean for Bitcoin? Why a 50 basis points cut is “the sweet spot.”

Dogecoin is up 4.5% today. Shiba Inu even 8%. Pretty good for the first day of 0.5% lower interest rates. But can the party last?

Donald Trump has completed a “historical (Bitcoin) transaction” on a burger pit stop during his campaign event in New York. Here’s what happened.

FINTECH FOCUS

MicroStrategy’s playbook is finding copycats.

Print corporate debt. Buy bitcoin. Bitcoin goes up. Print more debt. Repeat.

Sounds good. Has worked so far.

But (and there’s always a but), there may be a catch to it.

What it is?
