😄 This Bitcoin Bear Has Capitulated

Plus, is XRP or SOL the better altcoin ETF?

Happy Tuesday!

Bitcoin has broken the bear thesis of one of the most prominent crypto analysts with its rally beyond $80,000. Can it leave other bears in disbelief and continue the rally?

XRP and Solana are battling it out for the title of best altcoin ETF: both have seen weeks of inflows, but only one coin’s thesis is ‘simple’, according to Bitwise — here’s which.

Plus, Peter Lynch put it plainly: insiders might sell their shares for any number of reasons, but they buy them for only one. They think the price will rise.

TOP STORY

Bitcoin tapped $84,000 earlier today, and that breaks a key part of analyst Benjamin Cowen's call for a deeper bear market.

Cowen had expected BTC to weaken into Q4 under the traditional four-year cycle. Instead, Bitcoin pushed past its May high of $82,800 and set a higher high while crossing its 50-week moving average.

"As long as Bitcoin can kind of hold above $83,000, then it's hard to be deterministically bearish," Cowen said.

He still sees room for a Q4 pullback, but now thinks a higher low is more likely than a fresh cycle low.

SPECIAL OFFER

Peter Lynch put it plainly: insiders might sell their shares for any number of reasons, but they buy them for only one. They think the price will rise.

Selling tells you very little. An executive paying for a house looks the same on paper as one heading for the exit. A CEO writing a personal check for her own stock is a different signal.

Timing matters too. Most companies bar insiders from trading in the weeks before earnings, and the window reopens after the report. Third-quarter reports run from mid-October into November.

That puts the next six weeks among the busiest of the year for insider purchases.

MARKET MINUTES

Bitcoin ETF inflows are surging again, yet everyone is watching ETH — which has been quietly outperforming over the past weeks. Why is ETH suddenly the stronger coin?

Ric Edelman remains hyper-bullish on Bitcoin and is not holding back with his price prediction: here’s what he thinks BTC will trade at in 2030.

Bond yields have stopped the crypto rally for now, but that may not be for long: these three indicators show it could resume soon.

FINTECH FOCUS

Net assets in XRP ETFs rose 80% in Q3 to a record $1.77 billion and Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan says the reason financial advisers like XRP is simple.

They trust its long track record, and they understand its real-world uses in stablecoins and cross-currency liquidity.

Solana is still pulling in more new money. Solana funds took in $469 million over 11 weeks, compared with $306 million for XRP.

In September alone, Solana captured about 68% of the combined inflows.

So who wins?
