As markets brace for the impact of President Trump’s tariff announcements, experts point to regulatory clarity as a bullish catalyst, while a looming correction in equities remains the most prominent downside risk.

Speaking with Benzinga, Mike Cahill, CEO of Douro Labs and a key contributor to the Pyth Network, believes the optimism in markets is short-term in nature.

"Markets rallying into the tariff announcement reflect a classic case of short-term optimism winning out over long-term uncertainty," he said.

Circle Internet Financial, the company behind USD Coin, is showing a mixed financial picture ahead of its planned public listing, with revenue up by 16%, but profitability down due to higher costs and increased redemptions.

Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Assets Research at VanEck, highlighted the disconnect between Circle’s topline momentum and its bottom-line performance.

Sigel pointed out that the company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) fell by 78%, while net income dropped 66%, despite strong revenue growth.
